ABDİ İBRAHİM WILL DONATE THE ENTIRE YEAR’S PRODUCTION
Abdi İbrahim, the leading pharma company in Turkey, has produced and delivered to the Ministry of Health the first batch of a drug; the drug in question has yielded positive outcomes in research for the treatment of COVID-19 and is part of the Company’s product range.
Commenting on the development, Abdi İbrahim Chairman Nezih Barut said, “At Abdi İbrahim, the largest Turkish pharma company boasting a 100% domestic capital, our vision of healing life has always guided us through our 108-year history. In these challenging times, we are utilizing all our resources in giving full support to the mobilization led by our Ministry of Health to fight the pandemic. We have produced and delivered to the Ministry of Health the first batch of a drug already listed in the Ministry’s COVID-19 treatment protocols.” Stating that Abdi İbrahim would donate the entire year’s production of the drug to the Ministry of Health, starting with the 1.6 million tablets to be produced in April, Mr. Barut also said, “We truly hope that this drug will support physicians, pharmacists, nurses and all healthcare professionals who toil with great determination, effort and sacrifice to heal our people.”

Abdi İbrahim Chairman Nezih Barut said, “As the only local manufacturer of the drug listed in the COVID-19 treatment protocols, Abdi İbrahim was able to produce and deliver to the Ministry of Health the first batch of the drug after procuring its raw material, which is currently in increasingly high demand globally, thanks to the field support by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade. We will donate the entire year’s production of the drug and put it in the service of Turkish medicine. We strive to create value for our patients and healthcare professionals in combating this pandemic.”
Noting that the entire world was up against a never-before-seen pandemic, posing serious challenges to societies and organizations, Mr. Barut also added: “Throughout human history, pandemics have caused the deaths of great many people in every period. We closely follow the developments related to COVID-19, which started to spread rapidly in China and then to many other countries around the world.
